I see lots of good stuff in the classifieds for sale but not sure what will fit and what won't. I have an 03 Wide Glide and always seem to be guessing whether it will fit or not. Mainly seats, exhaust, bars. Looking to change up the bike and new to me used parts are OK by me. Just not sure what will fit. Is there an easy way to figure this out? Seems most of the good stuff is for newer bikes.
Although it's now always a perfect method, one thing I've done is use Harley Davidson's online shopping function. You can search on H-D's website by a bike's year and model.
Thus, let's say someone is advertising a seat from their 2007 Wide Glide... you enter 2007 Wide Glide in the "shop for parts" section of the website. From there, go to seats. Then select a seat and then look at the "Fitment" section. It will tell you what other years/models the part fits. Then you know what other years/models a seat from a 2007 Wide Glide fits.
Most items from 96-03 wideglide will fit since your bike is a wideglide, , as for the motor 99-03 on the twin cam, driver seats exhaust rear suspension, wheels air cleaners will fit from any dyna , passenger seat tanks and fender are specific to the wideglide
