Some guys run air cleaners, pipes and never bother with a tuner. They say the EFI modules can adjust itself. Is this true, I don't think so since the EPA is involved with making sure the bike can only put out enough fuel to meet their regulations.

If you want to get some type of tuner, get something thats going to last you down the road with what your going to do to your bike. I was going to get the power vision but for what I have done and plan on doing this is all I need for now. Dont plan on cams and such for quite some time. I will probably have a street glide by that time anyways.

thanks for all the helpful info! def help me save a few $!

Again ,,, EFI models will adjust but not to straight pipes ... you will need a tune or it will snap, crackle and pop

No, they won't work on your 14.

The ones that work on your 14 SB are the FL-XiED-10 or the FL-ViED-10

You can see the details on them HERE

didnt think so, I was looking around your site and wanted to double check, would I be doing the bike harm by riding with slips on stock intake? prob buy a tuner or xied when im caught up with some of the bills...

I don't think so, others may disagree. It will run smoother, stronger and cooler with them. But with just slip-ons I don't believe you will see any damage. The ECM should compensate to keep you at the stock AFR.

I have a stock 2012 FXDC, V&H slip-on big shots I believe. Great sound, no problems. They have a very thin baffle in them. I also added a screaming eagle air cleaner and still have no problems. I just bought a micro tuner, not installed yet, just to help it run cooler and maybe add some kick to it.

so I started her up yesterday since I couldnt fire it up when I installed it late Wednesday night and man..... they sound GREAT! best $80 I ever spent! it has a good growl and its not obnoxiously loud as I was expecting it to be, which is good!!! only thing is I have stock air cleaner and I get a lot of backfire/pop. what do I need to do to fix this? I have been looking at a use xied for a quick temporary fix but I want to make sure that the Xied (sku 100 ) from nightrider would fit in '14 sb,since thats whats mostly what people are selling used.
