Hi I just purchased a 2009 fat bob. what is the lowest i can safely lower the rear end and how? It has the stock adjustable shocks but the look i am going for is the complete slammed rear end and doing a tank lift etc. what the the shortest shocks? are there lowering kits? i weigh about 250
I have a Burley Slammers kit installed on my 13' Bob. They rear shocks are adjustable as well. I weigh around 190 and rarely scrape depending on how hard I take a corner. Here are a couple pics so you get an idea of what it looks like.
I have a 2012 fat bob with a 2" tank lift and 10.5" burlys.
I am 250 and mostly ride solo. The ride is not bad at all.
When my girl rides with me it's still not a bad ride, you do feel bumps a little more..all in all I really like them
Burly Slammers are about as low as you can go. They look badass but in my opinion the ride sucks. The roads where I live must be a lot worse than the roads where people say Burlys ride nice. Im 200 and I scraped all the time. My pegs were ground down bad and I even managed to gouge the **** out of my primary. I guess if your bike is mostly a bar hopper then they will be fine for you. I think it mostly depends on how you ride and the type of roads you ride on the most.
