If you are running on any rough roads at all don't do the Burly's, can't comment on any other lowering kits. I am working in Toronto and have my bike there, as soon as my job sends me home I'll ship my bike back home where I have my tools and the Burleys will be coming off. Cool look but the ride is not the greatest.

I'm using the 10.5 Progressive 430's and I never bottom out, but I do drag on the right side on my pipe every now and then. I had the Burly's for awhile, but the ride was horrible. Buddy of mine was selling the Progressives so I figured I would give them a shot. Night and day difference, not the best ride, but good enough to ride 2200 miles there and back to Sturgis last year. And oh yea I weigh in at about 190...

To be honest I was just trying to find some middle ground between looks and performance. And I really haven't spent that much money on my bike. The wheels were the most expensive mod and you already know SMW wheels are a good value. I didn't buy a Harley to bang through corners and drift the rear end. Its just a fun cruising around bike to me. Im not made of money by any means but if anybody made a slightly shorter high quality shock I would probably buy it. But I really don't like the way a tall shock gives the bike an *** high, stink bug look. For my needs the 444s are a decent shock. They are a little shorter than stock for the look I like, black to match my bike, easy to adjust by hand, and perform better than stock. If you can show me a shorter than stock, black performance shock, I would be more than happy to check it out. But for $450 and the type of riding I do the 444s suit me pretty well.
