is there a reason why the only suggested fitment for the 204 from Harley in 2013 is
Road King FLHR
Road King Classic FLHRC
Electra Glide Classic FLHTC
Ultra Classic Electra Glide FLHTCU
Tri Glide Ultra Classic FLHTCUTG
Electra Glide Ultra Limited FLHTK
Street Glide FLHX
Road Glide Ultra FLTRU
Road Glide Custom FLTRX
are these just suggested bikes for this cam because of their weight?
i liked the curve the charts show for the 204 better than a lot of other cams and just wanted to hear some opinions on them for a '13 fxdwg
i was going to put that cam in my 11 fatbob but i ended up with the 259 in the stage 3 kit which is, they say, a 204 on steroids, i like the 259 but they were saying what great numbers they had gotten with the 204 in an 11 fatboy.
Looks like a nice improvement over stock, but the lift is kinda small(.508) and it really favors the left side of the chart with an intake close of 34 degrees. Seems like a 96" could go bigger and move the performance to the right a bit, unless you are 2 up all the time. Just thinking out loud....
I was told when I installed mine the 204 cam would be best for my fxdc because of the lighter weight. And conversely the 255 would be better for the heavier bikes like the Electra Glide. Anyway I love the 204 in mine the way it pulls hard right up to the shift point.
You can't go wrong with the 204's they are an incredible gain over a stage 1. There is power everywhere and too spare. I still wish I had at least 20+ hp and ft/lbs more. I will I admit I have a problem with power and I've been corrupted by 180+whp bikes. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif
91.69HP 104.56ft/lbs
