Looks like you're right, I did this awhile ago, I just remember the original mount was too low with the Deuce headlight.

Deuce headlight mount is wider, closer to center, and further back on the headlight. Sportster Custom mount is also straight up like you said.

I have at least 2 that I made to move light out and up, to stop glare on windshield. I would be glad to mail you one. I have installed a Road Glide fairing on my 2012 FXDC
and have the quick detach windshield I would like to sell, head assy. also.
These brackets are 6061 t6 aluminum and highly polished.

Thanks guys! I really like the new setup it allows for unlimited headlight positioning possibilities. The brackets are actually chrome plated bottle opener key chains. I've had one on my key forever and was looking at it the other day and thought it might be a perfect fit. I'm going to get some better looking bolts for it just used what I had laying around. Total cost $10.27

looks sick!! if you dont mind me asking where did you get the keychains i'd like to do something like this to my headlight as well

Picked em up at Hastings. Not sure if you have those in your area? It's a book/music/movie/game/novelty store. Good luck and post pics if you find some.
