I'm 6' 2" and changed out my seat to a mustang vintage solo. It took a good 500 miles to break in and is now very comfortable on the long haul.
I also find myself healing my forward control pegs. I'm thinking of adding the Kuryakn 3" extensions. I'll have to check out their return policy before I make my order.
Hey guys, I went through this entire process last year with my 2000 Dyna superglide sport. ( it was my first harley) I struggled with comfort for a while and spent alot of money to try to fix it. Some of the things I did were changed the seat to Leperra Maverick that sat me back an inch or two and gave good back rest, changed the bars to harley 10in apes, added the forward controls, changed the foot pegs to Kuryakyn ones with the Stirrups foryour heels( this was probably the best purchase). very comfy... All this really did help I was able to ride longer before complaining but it never ended up being long enough, plus the wife was not all that comfy either. so I ended up selling it. But the changed above was the best chemistry I could come up with you basically want to get yourself streched out the best you can.
I do still have the Kuryakyn 3IN. extensions that I purchased but never got around to installing. theyare in the original packaging. If anyone is interested i will sell them with good discount of course..
let me know if you are interstesed in the Extensions if not I hope the above helps you get a little more comfortable on your ride..
After about 2 hours I find myself shifting around a bit. I can do a good 8 hour day, fill-up to fill-up but after that I need stops every hour.
Going to try the above mentioned forward control extensions first, then a Lindbar for Highway pegs and additional lighting. Both will have to wait however because I am strapped for cash.
Wow, thats so funny. I was actually thinking last nite about doing floorboards but wasn't sure I could. I also wasn't sure I would like the look either. They don't look sobad on your Robert, Lolife.
I guess I'll keep messin with her till I get it right. It would be a shame to get rid of her after only a few months......lol.
