I probably should mention I'm not looking for huge performance gains at this point in time, bike only has 550 miles on it, just love the looks and sound of a full exhaust. I've also been told that if you do the exhaust you may as well do the intake! Wranglin4life you got a good deal, I'd love to be only about 800 buck into a deal like that. I'm hoping to only spend 1200 or so.. Hope I'm in that ballpark
Well for around 1200 you could get a brand new set of pipes, the tuner and the air cleaner. I am in almost $900 with everything. If your patient you might find a set of used pipes like I did. I honestly got stupid lucky with my set. I kept my eyes peeled for 6 months though all through winter... If it would have been spring / summer I dont know if I could have waited. I probably would have broken down and bought a brand new set.
Haha funny, thanks for the above, but I'm really stuck on the 2-2's. I did find that so far fuel moto has about the best possible price I've seen so far at 574 I believe
which exhaust are you getting. Their loudest (V&H) is short shots, the nicest sound are big shots or long shots, the BR sorry I don't like the sound of those because the ex shoots down and it starts to sound likea steam engine 40 feet awy. Sorry my 2 cents.
power vision is much more advanced than pc-v. the pc-v being the direct predecessor of the PV. even though a pc-v can manage very well untill you get into advanced engine work, at least there are lots of other things that can be done with the power vision that the pc-v jast does not have the capacity. PC-V plug and play at best you can get an autotune to tweak the map. PV plug, play, tune, clear codes, monitor temperatures, play with idle speed and rev limiter , use as a tach and speedometer, odometer, lots more and you can intricatly adjust fuel maps directly with the unit. The autotune works here too but unlike the pc-v it doesn't only make fuel changes it can also adjust timing out. Enough? there's more! Gotta go to work good luck. Speak to Jamie @fuelmoto the PV is his baby!
Jaws, it sounds like you know exactly what you want. Get the BR 2-2 and the Powervision. Even though the PV will be overkill, you will be ready for future tinkering.
Solely on looks I would go v&h short shots, they look great on wide glides, have a great sound but are not a performance pipe, very cost effective though. They are also very reasonably priced. Powervision @ fuel moto is a no brainer. Pick the air cleaner you like best and you're done. If you think about the 2-1 route to a performance pipe, I personally love the look of a Thunderheader though many will tell you it's fugly. I also really like the look of that new d&d bobcat pipe, not sure how it would look on a raked out bike though, maybe......AWESOME?
