What should I be paying for paint if I choose to go that route? If I wanted it all black, or if I wanted a custom paint job?

You can always have a vinyl shop wrap the bike for you, at least this way it can stay original, would probably run anywhere from 500-750 and there are tons of colors available. Make sure they use 3M 1080 vinyl.
