I have lots of parts to customize it and could cam the bike for $0. All I'd need to get is the SESPT. What say you......... Am I crazy?
No.

I would love to have this problem also. I don't think you're crazy at all if you can afford it. I wouldn't mind several dynas.

SB with apes
FLD slammed with white walls and apes
One with T-bars 13" shocks and a badass motor for canyon carving
SB bobbed and slammed
One with a built motor and a turbo and maybe a stretched swing arm for the strip

I think that's about it!! lol!

I've often thought of getting a project bike but not at the expense of potentially cutting into my riding time, so in that scenario, no craziness for two bikes. The idea of two dynas sitting whole i your garage so you can flip a coin. And decide which to ride does sound excessive to me, especially given the cost to insure both bikes simultaneously. But hey, that all a matter of perspective. I also like the idea of adding a touring to the stable for those couple times a year you go long haul, and setting my dyna up to be the hot rod.

Do whatever makes you happy brother, no one ever makes it out of life alive.

no your not crazy
i am a dyna guy, but if i was going to get a second bike to keep i would get something different. to me it would not make since to have 2 bikes so similar

me i have an 06 dyna and a 80 ironhead. 2 very different bikes

i would be thinking instead of having 2 pretty bad *** dynas i would want one ultimate dyna

l dont see the point in owning two similar bikes. are you intending to keep ur current bike till it's worn out and rebuild it, or trade it while it's worth something??? lf ur gonna keep it, put the money aside for a rebuild and make any changes you want then...

Tough call. I have a Dyna and a FXR. They are not the same, though, somewhat similar. Ultimately the functions will be different. I was looking for something a bit more comfortable for 2 up than my FXR. Came up on a deal that was too good pass on. Thus ended up with a Dyna. It's bigger, heavier, and not as nimble as he FXR. But it is more suited to 2 up than e FXR. She's more comfortable, and that is all I care about.

In the end, if you want it, it's not crazy to have 2 identical bikes in my book. If they suit your intended purpose.... Who cares?

DO IT!

I have an FLD and a V-Rod muscle. Just sold the dirtbikes (3) because of lack of use. So I went from 5 bikes to 2. Love them both. Go for it.

I played around with a couple Dyna bikes and i have a Street Glide. Now I have become bored with 2 bikes that are so similar.
It was fun having 2 for a couple of years. I still enjoy both of them, especually my wife. That is why we still have both of them.

Nothing better than getting a bike to do what ever you want to and not have to be rushed because you only have one.

Get it, have fun, take your time, and enjoy.
