yea i was thining about putting that chuck on the lift, i but it on a trailer and ended up not using it because it seemed like it really pinched the front tire, not sure it that is a big deal or not. i just strap the tire to the front rail before i tie it down to keep it from twisting
I'm using mine mounted with 2 carriage bolts to the front rail on the trailer for exactly the same thing, just snugging it up enough to keep the front wheel from moving. Lined it with some pieces of floor mat.
I have their "High Position Motorcycle Lift" and it's garbage. While it does the trick to lift the wheels off the ground, it is very unstable. There is just too much play in it. The front end of the bike probably sits a good 1.5" lower or so. And the side of the bike that is away from the jack area is also lower. I have jackstands underneath the arms to further support the bike....which I would have done regardless, but the lift is definitely sketchy...

i have never know anyone to have that lift, but it is ggod to know that it is worth skipping, i have 2 friends with the HF lift table and it seems pretty good for the price and for a do-it-yourselfer
i paid $299 plus tax. I had a coupon out of american iron magazine. I have heard on here of people using the 299 coupon and a 20% coupon but the cashier would not go for it. The coupon that i had said cant be combined with any other discount. I think without the coupon it is $450
ok im not sure what just happened to the lift
i got alittle time today to set it up
i set it up and everything worked fine, i lifted it all the way up a few times
i decided to top off the fluid like may have recommended on here and after my wife lifted me up as i stood on it then she let me down, i went to go lift it again with no wieght and nothin, it wont even lift an inch, it moves but nothin, i made sure that the relaease pedal wasn't somehow pressed and it is not
the fluid that i put in is hydraulic jack fluid and says it is fine to use with all other hydralic jack fluids, the instructions say to use sae hydralic jack fluid. i went to 3 places and didn't find any that said "sae"
did i just **** this thing up before i even used it
well i dont know what the deal was , if it was the fluid i used or the pump its self, but HF exchanged it no questions asked and the new one works fine
