2 dumb questions
Be easy on me, this is my 1st Harley. (07 Lowrider)
1) Is it normal to "Clunk" so loudly when shifting?
2) My left mirror vibrates so bad that it is useless. The right one is fine. Both are secure and tight. Why would one vibrate and the other not?

That is a signature Harley clunk...you are lucky HD didn't charge you extra for it
Can't help you with the mirror...Did you check the the ball joint where the mirror attaches to the stem?

That's not a clunk, that's just your tranny telling you it's working okay.
As far as the mirror, there was a post here a while back, a large majority of them do it. Mine does. Ya get use to it after a while.Tim

Try using a synthetic lube in the primary (not Syn 3) and the clunk may smooth out a little. As far as the mirror goes, do the handgrips on the left side also seem to vibrate too much? If so, and even if not, check the riser mounting bolts and the handlebar clamp bolts to make sure that they are all torqued properly. If they're a little too loose that may allow the left side of the bars and mirror to vibrate too much. Another thing to check is that the two screws that tighten down the clutch bracket to the bars are also tight.
The tranny clunk is normal for a Harley......... So they tell me.
The left-hand mirror is only for semetry, and is usless.........
I think it is pretty much decided the master cylinder for the front brake dampems out a lot of the vibration in the right hand mirror.
Hate to dissapoint, but my 1985 Honda Magna mirrors did the same thing (thought there was something wrong with the bike).
If you ride so fast your eyes water, you won't notice the mirrors vibrate.
