I've got a rigid mount sissy bar I'm wanting to put on my 2012 FXDB. I've heard that the taillight bolt can cause issues and I was wondering if anyone had found a solution that doesn't involve a jack or letting the air out of the tire (neither are options for me at the moment).
Those turn signal bolts are gonna be a super huge pain to get to without dropping your shocks and jacking the bike up to get to them to get the tire out of the way. MIGHT be able to but you'll be there all day making tiny turns to the bolts to loosen and tighten them. I'd say notch them out so they go on like quick release do for the rear but if you don't have a jack I'd assume you don't have a grinder or pneumatic tools at that point either.
Not sure if this the same scenario but when I did the rigid mount on my 2011 FXDC I was able to use a crescent wrench moving it an eight of a turn then reposition. That really sucked.

That the exact scenario I'm envisioning in my head... and sucking lol
It can be done without jack and with conventional tools, you just need some patience to wiggle out the bolts. Putting them back on is the easier part by the way.
