I'll wave a girls on scooters for that matter. I find I give more respect to other guys who are real riders by not waving but that's another topic.

I'm just saying that I love my WG, I think Dynas, the FXR bikes and old shovels that have been chopped are the real deal to me.

Well living in Kentucky Tennessee area it's second nature to wave at folks. Even driving a car I flip my hand up when I pass another car on my rural road. I had a freind in New Jersey who said waving at someone is a good way to start a fight up there. Never understood that. Just different cultures I reckon. As far as bikes...I generally wave back to anyone regardless of what they ride. I do admit it can get tiresome

To the OP.....I agree with you. A dyna feels like a real harley. If they didn't shake a little at idle it just wouldn't feel right

I too have both a Wide Glide and a Street Glide. Love them both Wouldn't want to give up either of them... I also am interested in a VROD.

The only HD that doesn't do much for me is the Soft Tail Family... They look nice but all fancy paint and that annoying woosh from the motor balancers ... Yuck.

I wave at everybody... Down here in TX if you don't, your just an ***.

I have one of each, and IF I EVER, had to give one up...it would be the King.

The Dyna is a definate hoot...the Ol' Lady can't always go during the weekdays like I can. So I use the Dyna a lot. We save the King for together and long rides.

I like the simplicity & soul of the Dyna. My 05 SG fits me.

When looking for my first Harley, I took a hard look at all non-CVO options (CVO's are out of my price range). In the end, I went with a 2014 Street Bob because it does embody, for me, the essence of a Harley. Full-sized motor, elemental and timeless styling, agile and bad ***. I know it is not as comfortable as the touring bikes but comfort is not what I was going for. I wanted an experience that is true to what stripped down motorcycling is all about. And for me, that is the Dyna family.

And I will wave at any motorcyclist, though my waves have gotten much more laid back over the years.

Ride on.

Dynas are real Harleys, the perfect size, the perfect blend of style, speed and enough discomfort that you know you're riding and not sitting on a Barca lounger.

I don't know how I got conned into the touring bike thing but at 69 and having ridden since I was 14, I know what's right for me. Sorry to go on. Just I really like this bike... -L-
I picked my WG because it handled a lot like my Panhead with power to weight handling.

After riding rigid for a few decades the WG suspension does the job I need.

Yeah, the wave. I'll wave back at anyone. I'm sorry I wasn't good at words there. What I was trying to say -- poorly I guess -- is that the guys who ride Dynas. FXRs, Shovels etc are a different breed. Just basic, quick scooters.

There are currently 3 bikes in the stable right now. My 13WG is my daily go to bike. Then we have my mothers 06 Heritage Classic and then my Step Dads 07 Touring I cant recall what it is as it was just put in the garage last week. I have rode all of them. I can't stand the feeling of the Touring bike. Theres too much crap hanging off of it. Cruise Control! WITCH CRAFT! I ride about 115 miles a day round trip too and from work. I would never take the other bikes over Quinn (my WG). Shes stripped down and has that certain amount of vibration and discomfort that makes me feel like I am part of the road. Not on a bed of air or a couch. As for the wave thing I only wave then waved to. I'm not a dick just not really a people person. I'll ride in groups and with friends but I stay clear of the kids on street bikes if I am in a group as most of them are idiots here in OR.
