Pipe clearence
I have a 07 Lowrider with V & H Big shot staggered pipes. I was wondering how much clearence you all have between the front pipe and the down tube. I have about 3/8" to 1/2" clearence ,since I shimmed the engine back. I could see where it must have rubbed the down tube before I got it.It had the sticker on the down tube rubbed.

Had the same issue with the 2000 Low Rider I just bought, pipe was actually touching the downtube. I've replaced the front mount with a Vibra-technics unit and now I have about 1/4 inch, maybe a wee bit more (with the heat shield on) Pipes are V&H as well. I'm curious if the stock pipes provide a little more clearance.
I can't compare it to the old sagging mount because I didn't get an opportunity to ride the bike before (was still on crutches) but from what I read the stock rubber only lasts maybe a couple years. That's pretty much in line with what I experienced with my Sportster as well. To me the biggest benefit is the built in stabilizer bar, my 2000 Dyna only has one and that doesn't seem to be a very good design choice. Even the Sporty had two and that was barely adequate with saggy rubber. For me the cost of the V-T mount was about double the price for a stock piece from HD, in my opinion was well worth it. It's definitely a well designed and manufactured piece. There're one or two threads here with good info, as well as a link to the UK forum where this piece was developed and tested.
