Hi all am getting my first bike this month am always in love with dyna's and coz of the price this is the best option fir me am liiking for a good bike for almost a year and now i have to pick one, also i live in egypt and the bikes here are much expensive than in US plz put this in ur considration.
The options i have now:
- Many 07-08 fatbob's to choose from most are stock or with some extras with at least 8k miles .
- 06 wide glide a very clean bike with stage 1 and less than 1800 miles
- some super glides and street bob's with min 10k miles
- a clean 2002 fxdxt with 8000 miles
I know that no 2 bikes are the same and each one is sych a great bike but its my first harley ever so i need some expert opinions btw all of them is arround 10k - 11k Us dollars in egyptian pounds.
Thank you all in advance.
Do you get sand drifts across the road?
If so, the narrow tire on the Wide glide probably wouldn't do as well as the front tire on the Fat bob.
If your roads are maintained well that Wide glide would tempt me with only 1800 mi.
I'd stay clear of the 05 and older. Unless you're prepared to deal with the cam chain tensioners. Some of them go 80000 miles. Some only 18000 miles.
Good luck. And enjoy what ever you get.

The roads here not too bad actully i dont think i will need to do the sand dritfs, actully my the WG is my my choice but since it will gonna be my 1st bike am trying to know what are you experts think of it and for the ither bikes as well.
Best regards
I agree with ride them all. When I bought mine it wasn't my first choice, until I rode the 2 bikes I was interested in. The bike that was my first choice quickly became the bike I didn't want after a test ride.

My choice would be the 08 FatBob, mmmmmmm I wonder why ??????????
I would ride the Fatbob's and then the Wide Glide and see which one you like best.
If the roads over there are rough, the Fatbob may soak that up a little better than the Wide Glide ?????
I would ride the 08 FXDF first and the the FXDWG and then make your choice.
