As I have said a few times over the last few pages, I want to demo a Low Rider S 117 and ST. Saw a Demo Day event at a local dealer in my area. Went there only to find a regular Low Rider. Was not a factory truck event but something the dealer put together. No 117 S or ST. So to make the best of it, I rode this 114 LR. Very nice bike. 114 is noticeably more powerful than my Stage 1 103 TC.
Where is everyone? Anyone else here demo a new LR?
i did last year but honestly didnt like it as much as my LR. I think its a great bike but the ergonomics just felt wrong for me. I think a lot had to do with that seat on there. Im a big dude and that solo seat just felt a bit small IIRC. I absolutely loved the heritage though. That bike just fit me perfect, my wife didnt like it so its a no go. If she decided she didnt want to ride anymore that would be my next bike.
Finally got around to fixing my broken turn signal stalk and got out for a few hours today. Perfect weather, sunny and 75. Took a ride down around the lake, it was a great day!
Been able to start riding to work again. Two days last week. Two days this week. With what gas is running, I want to ride as much as I can to both get plenty of miles in and save on gas.

I rode about 120 miles on Sunday...sure like to ride when I can. Premium is up to $4.56 a gallon here, but I get anywhere form 42-46 MPG, depending on whether I hotdog it or not...

Last two times I got premium in my area it was $5.70 and $5.77 a gallon. Wish I could get it for what you are paying.
When I filled the bike the other day I think I paid 5.29 for premium. For some reason premium used to only be a 20 cent cost above regular and now its more like .75-.85 cents more than regular. People at work ask me why I don't ride the bike more to save on fuel since I have such a long commute but really the numbers don't work out in my favor. Fuel is more expensive, the MPG isn't that much better than my beater honda civic, and the tires/maintenance costs are way more, mile for mile. Plus I don't want to rack up too many miles on the bike, I drive about 2k miles a month for work.
