Metal grips....
This has been bothering me for a while now. I have a few bikes and have installed custom aluminum or hard plastic style hand grips on two of them. Does anyone know what to use to keep them from grinding/squeaking? I tried grease but it usually turns into a mess. tried graphite with the same results.....
anyone have any ideas?

it just keeps happening. i think they all do it on the newer bikes. my 2000 fxdx never did it but my 2011 fxdb grinds. you just gotta grease it and clean it and re-grease it! my grips are aftermarket. are yours or are they HD? i wonder if the HD ones do the same thing

Which grips are you running - I have the Performance Machine Contour XL grips and I'm not experiencing any issues?

I had some cheap ebay WCC knock offs that were knurled aluminum. I think I just put a thin (i mean thin) coat of general purpose geese on bars. Never squeaked. I got rid of them a couple years ago though. They were eating up my gloves!!
