Default Another floorboard-thread.

I know there are some threads about the FXDP floorboards, but I couldn't find anything about the V-Twin manufacturing kit.

http://www.jpcycles.com/product/531-750#!

Fitment says it won't fit my 2014 FXDF, but the guy on the live-chat at JP-cycles thought it would fit anyways.

Anybody have this? What can I expect of groundclearance compared to my forwards?

Really wanna go mid-controls/highway-pegs, but these boards would be a much cheaper option.....

The only difference between the HD footboards and the Vtwin boards is the right rear mounting plate mounts the board over the front pipe (V twin and police model). The HD kit mounts under the pipe. Where they mount makes the Vtwin and DP boards ride higher than the HD version. Your pipe manufacturer should be able to tell you which ones fit or don`t fit. Have you sent them an email asking?

I have the VTM floorboards on mine and by looking at your sig pic, I would say your pipes are about 2" too high to clear the rear mount. Of course you could fabricate a mount or modify an existing one.

Is that the V-twin FXD's? Looks lower than I thought. I thought they were supposed to be almost up at the middle of the timing-cover. Or are the picture fooling me?

If you are referring to my sig-pic, that's not the bike I have now. I have a 2014 FXDF with the D&D Bobcat exhaust. Just haven't bothered updating my profile yet.

Yep, I would say the HD boards would work on the OP's bike since he changed his pipes and HD says the boards won't because of the stock pipes to my understanding.

As for saving money, the HD boards are around $80 cheaper then the V-Twin ones list in the OP's link.

Yeah but the HD boards stays low and forward. The V-Twin moves them up and back, so it's almost like mid's. And thats what I'm after.

Yes they are the V-Twin boards with extensions that move them out 1" and forward 1", and are still very much like mids. I would rather have had the HD ones, but these were on the bike when I got it, so I powered them and made some highway bars.
