Anyone know if it might be possible to trim down the "shield" from one of the Conley's one-piece T-Sport fairings (the one where the shield and the fairing are one solid piece of fiberglass) and bolt on a Cee Bailey's shield? I got a killer deal on the Conley and I have a chance to get the Cee Bailey from a fellow forum member, so if it'll work out, I might pull the trigger. I have never seen the Cee Bailey's shield in person, so I don't know how flexible it is or how realistic my idea is.
This is the fairing I have:
Thanks in advance for any help it suggestions that anyone might be able to offer.
Im not sure if you can mount cee baileys to conleys due to the gear box mechanism (lack of) which the shield mounts to. I just got mine together w Cee Baileys 14.5" here's a visual.
As far as cee baileys windshield itself, its made of aircraft grade plastic which is extremely ridged, will make for easy (easier) machining and or drilling. I'm sure if you got creative enough you can get something mounted up but id be semi concerned w it coming off at high speeds. Maybe make some supports brackets like the rifle roadster uses or something?
either way nice ride, looks great

The cee baileys shield is pretty rigid. I think he's talking about bolting it onto the conelys shield. The cee baileys shield doesn't have holes so it can be mounted without the gearbox

I understand, I just think it would need plenty of support

Fairing looks real nice! Can you tell me if the OEM FXDXT fairing is finished gloss on the inside? I have reproduction FXDXT on the way and am deciding whether to paint both the inside and outside or only the outside.

thanks, I appreciate it. the oem fairing is flat black on the inside from hd. I just had mine painted and left the inside alone, here's a pic before paint.

I'm going to try to attach it with 4-6 points at the base and go from there. If I need more support, I'll see if I can get some of the telescoping supports like on the Rifle fairings. Thanks for the heads up, fellas.
