Default XIED Causes A Code?

My 2013 FXDC is throwing the following codes:

PO131 Front Oxygen Sensor Low
PO151 Rear Oxygen Sensor Low
PN 001117-01

I have been experiencing some intermittent low volume popping for the rear cylinder at idle on a warm engine.

Do XIEDS by design cause the two codes above?

Yes they do. Mine has those 2 codes as well. No check engine light, just has the codes stored.

It's totally normal. Keep in mind that the Xieds work by telling the ECU that the O2 sensors are reading lean so that it will correct and richen the mixture. The ECU thinks there is something wrong with the sensors because under normal circumstances, the readings would be abnormal. Don't worry about it. If anything, it proves the xieds are doing their job.

Doesn't anyone read or do research any more? The 131, 151 codes are discussed on nightrider's web site.https://sales.nightrider.com/blog.asp

The fuelpak was on the bike when I got it and the xieds I got used for like $50. A lot cheaper than that tuner you got and work perfect for my needs/wants

My rear cylinder is giving off a low intermittent popping sound at idle after warmed up. I removed the XIED's and cleared the codes in preparation to making an appointment at the dealer so they cannot blame the XIED's. I then took the bike out for a good ride to see if the pop at idle would clear. During the ride I did not notice any difference in the deceleration popping than what I experienced WITH the XIED's. In my opinion Rooti is correct, you need a tuner of a professional Dyno tune to get rid of decel popping.

I've taken my bike to the dealer with the xieds on and they never said anything about them.

Do you "need" a tuner? No. There's plenty of people on here and other places that have a tuner and have had their bike professionally tuned on a dyno and they still have decel pop. So there is no guarantee that having a tuner and having your bike professionally tuned on a dyno will get rid of the decel pop.
