Thanks DK Custom Products - I ordered the 1.75" lowering blocks, they arrived in super quick time, and they are perfect. They compensate for the added height the more comfortable seat creates so I am nice and flat footed. My husband installed them for me - the only negative is that he said the instructions are rather poor and confusing. But all in all the install went well.
The ride and handling feel great - I was concerned about it negatively affecting handling and did not notice anything at all.

I'm curious about that bag you have on your passenger pylon?

I did the following, but not with the intent to lower the bike (though it had that effect). I wanted a way to raise my QD Windshield, and by sliding the fork tubes up in the trees (tube tops normally flush with top of tree), I was able to clip my 'shield ABOVE the upper tree. I could feel a slight lowering of the bike after doing this. I also have a Sundowner, and I'm 30" inseam so I know your issue. You might try this. Be very careful when loosening the clamp bolts; the weight of the bike can fall down the tubes and do damage. If your fork tubes have the different style tops/caps than my '06, this option might not be possible for you.

It's a Saddlemen "Tunnel Bag". I forget where I bought it - I shopped around to find the best price. They have TWO sizes. I bought the one that said for 7" pillons before I got the Sundowner seat. It still works fine on that, but am thinking of getting the next size up which is for 9" pillons.
It's a great little bag - good for day trips. The other day I managed to stuff a fairly bulky sweatshirt AND my light leather jacket in the main compartment. It has side pockets for other small items.
I wanted saddlebags, but a pair I bought just did not look right on the bike. They were throwovers, as right now I don't want to spend the money for the detachable hardware and bags. Plus I don't want to go through the hassle (and cost) of moving my turn signals.
So this little bag is perfect for now. I have a taller sissy bar on order so I can use my regular travel packs that slide over a sissy bar, and will sit on the passenger pad.
