If you pull the carb, put a new seal ring on unless it's fairly new. They loose their elasticity and get squished after a while and may not seal right when you reuse an old one.

Check your battery connections, and resistance from negative post on battery to the frame, if they are OK then focus on alternator/regulator as you can see from the headlight there is a voltage drop.

Its just randomly cutting out and losing power. Look closely and the lights and watch them dim at the same time the motor starts running differently.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We'll be looking into all of this soon. Just waiting for him to have time to come back over here and help me.
