I am currently looking to buy my first Harley in the near future. I have found a 2006 Superglide Custom with under 3000 miles on it. It has a 200 tire, removable passangerback rest, pad and luggage rack, V&H big radius, new intake, pciii, security system, forward controls and other misc. chrome goodies. He says I can have it for $12,000. Does this sound like a good deal? Any concerns on the 2006 I should be worried about? He says the 6-speed tranny works fine and the only recall was on the battery box. Purchased about 1 year ago.
Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a sweet deal to me. The extras alone add about 2 g's of his money investedin the bike if he had them installed. Considering he probably dished out around 15 for it you are in the market for a nicely priced bike. My local stealer would rake you over the coals for this bike, used.
Then again, if you like the customs, I would just bite the bullet and get an '07 with the bigger motor and tank mounted speedo. Look to spend another 3 g's though without the nice extras he put on it, namely the pipes and pcIII.
That is an excellent deal! I just bought mine in November, a left over 2006 (new) for $13,000 and just put $3000 into it with new bars and V&H short shots and the PCiii. That is an excellent deal! I would go for it!
Thanks to all for the info. Sounds like I had better jump on it tomorrow. This one blue too. If I get it, I will post pictures when I get it home.
Thanks!!!!
