Default exaust comparison

I have a superglide and I'm getting ready for exaust time... Is there going to be a huge performance difference between V&H Sideshots and the V&H shortshot staggered's? feedback please?!!

Huge difference, probably not. Noticeable, maybe. The Shortshots do not have the "Power Chamber" like the Sideshots do and V&H's material claims a better performance due to the balanced exhaust unlike the Shortshots, but my guess is that you won't see a huge difference. I think it is mostly a visual thing, whichever exhaust looks better to you.

I agree with DGlide and JS on this one, but I don't think that the power chamber helps "that" much. I had big shots with the power chamber on my 06 wide glide and actually felt like I lost power over my stockers. I have since changed to a 2 into 1 thunderheader which I love the looks, sound and power of. I have the dyno curves and pics for you to look at if you want to see them. Between these two pipes looks will be the main concern then, like Dglide said, whichever looks better to you.

Had the short shots, didnt like the look after a week, or the sound.

im on a thunder header now, but I was after a Rinehart 2 in to 1 that seemed to always be on back order!

Personally, I would look around at other manufactures I dont think V&Hs are all that great.

I have the Short Shots on my '05 Super Glide and love the look and the sound. Had the stock carb rejetted when installed and it runs just FINE. It is a matter of what YOU want in looks and sound. I love the over/under shotgun look the short shots have.

For me, looks would be the ONLY reason to choose.

I don't need more power... this 96-incher makes more thanenough torque, from the factory,to keep me happy...

The older I get, the slower I go...

V&H are great pipes. Most well known and well made in my opinion.

There are more expensive pipes and some may say argueably better.

BSS added more than respectable HP and TQ to my bike with the corresponding proper mods..........they sound great and look great.

People who eat sushi love it.....those who don't think we're nutz..........

Thanks for the feedback man, I originally liked the samson sweepers when I heard them but then the dealership said they were a nightmare all around and they said V&H all the way. I heard the sideshots on a wideglide and I wasn't sure if I loved them or just hate mine. I found the shortshots for like 280 bucks online and ****, that seemed like the right price for me compared to 550 for the sideshots. Money's tight round here being blue collar and all. Let me know what it was about the shorts you hated, were they too tinny or what?
