Yea the stock one worked fine for me for the first year I had the short shots because I didn't know about them wanting us to use the SE gaskets. You just needed to check them more often. I haven't had a problem with the SE gaskets either and I've had the pipes on and off 3-4 times messing with the baffles and BCT's. Not sure how you can break the gaskets during install. They fit well and it seems like you would have mongo it to break it. It brings the head of the pipe more into the jug. If this still concerns you in a month when I finally get to move into the new house with the family and get my bike out of my trailer I check it out and take a pic unless someone else beats me to it.
To prevent the nuts from backing off and working loose I use serrated flange nuts. The teeth bite into the exhaust flange and don't allow them to work loose.
Thanks I'll def try the smoke test, I tightened the bolts prob slightly tighter then spec torque def not over tightened but tight enough to be confident it won't come loose
Dont get too confident
After mounting my exhaust I lost an exhaust nut on the rear lower, after I installed a new one it back off once again. Re-tightened it and its been good for about 6k now. I now carry a short 1/2" offset wrench everywhere I go.

Thanks for all the help jaron please let me know when u get the chance, I'll be keepin an eye on these bolts the next month see how they hold. Btw any chance u have the se gasket part # thanks
I didn't have a torque wrench when I did my exhaust yesterday (wrong size), now you guys have me freaked out that I may have over done it. Any thought as to how tight they should be by feel (I think I put a lot of pressure on them).
Kreeess, did you use standard baffles? I have the Python Throwbacks which I think are off a similar line to the SS but maybe a bit longer. Can't believe how loud they are and was thinking of trying the quiet baffle at some point
