That is not the same seat. The Tripper is about 11" wide, whereas the Wide Tripper is about 13" wide (Yes, 2" makes a difference........just ask your wife/girlfriend).
Interresting question, i have bare bones solo too and my bottom feel bad like yours after 1 or 2 riding hours ! So i have standard one, not with gel inside, is it really better with gel ?
Someone have trying this and feel the différence ?
I love the very low profile of bare bones and i ' m not sure that's day tripper or Danny Gray similar looking !
So..? Perhaps modified mine with gel inside ? What do you think ?
Good question! I don't know if it makes a difference, I have yet to really sit on one with the gel. I do really like my barebones, but its not for rides more than an hour.
I did just find a mustang solo wide tripper so that's on its way....

I like the Corbin Hollywood Solo but it took 3 seats and endless BS from Corbin to get it to fit right, not to mention 5 months of my life. You would have to decide for yourself if it's worth the pain in the *** of dealing with Corbin IF they don't get the seat right on first delivery but it's a great seat. I can ride for hours with it, no issue. Looks good, puts you lower and back, which I like. btw . . that is NOT the Corbin in my sig photo.
