I'm in love with this setup. Not to mention it's easy on the bank roll! I still need to put my air gauge on though. I air up to when I just start lifting my feet and that is the sweet spot for me. I'm thinking about relocating my compressor. I plan to go with the Progressive monotubes up front and lower and inch. Afraid I'll hit the compressor with the heritage fender
Joe, Is there a filter that is supposed to screw into the side of the air compressor? Are you just not going to run this part? Any side effects to doing that?
Another question... when you powdered the shocks and the compressor, did you not have to completely disassemble them in order to avoid melting any of the seals inside of them?

I am running the air filter, really quiets it down! i ran a 90* push fitting for 1/4 and then added a 1/4x1/8pnt push fitting on the filter itself... this let me route the filter anywhere i wanted and not have to have it scewed into the side

shocks and compressor where all painted, i tore the compressor part way apart and coated a good amount of parts on it, but the body of it is all paint.
What did you use for the top shock purch? Are the shocks a small diameter then the stock shock?
a while back i snapped my top shock bolt and lost the spacer... HD wanted like $65 for a new one so i just made my own on the lathe, once you swap bushings the mount locations are like stock, the overall diameter of them is smaller than stock by a bit yes
