floorboards....
Last week I built an exhaust for my Sportster and while cleaning up and sorting through some boxes I found some floorboards I forgot I had, I bought them a few years ago to try on my Street Bob and hated them. They are the adjustable ones that fit into the stock mid or HD forwad control peg mounts with a few adjustment brackets. Curious I pulled the mounting hardware off and checked the length between the mid-mount pegs and the forward pegs and they were the right length, so today I started fabbing some mounts to fit them using my forward and mid mount points. I'm using Legends Supreme forwards and they won't fit the Legends peg mount. I solved that by making a new mount that used a bolt and nylock nut to secure them at the forward mount and cut a set of stock HD pegs to use as the rear mount for the boards. My original though was to mount it with a nylock as well, but changed my mind this evening while test fitting the left side. I'm going to weld the mount directly to the floorboard extension I welded to the inside edge of the board.
Here are a couple of pics from today. I should have the left side finished tomorrow and possibly both sides. Other than cleaning them up and painting. The boards are the half moon shakers. I think I'll cut some diamond tread plate and epoxy it on instead of using the rubber floor mat material on them now.
I cut the bolt off of the small rear mount after this was taken.

Here are the boards (except mine are the shaker variety) I started with and I was able to use almost all of the hardware in building the new mounts. The only thing I didn't use were the peg mounts and the dog bone adjusters.

I'll post some more pics of tomorrow to show how I modded them to work.

i have those boards on my FXDC, they not too bad for the price.
I would advise against epoxying the diamond plate in place of the Rubber as the rubber "shaker" mounts underneath do wear out after about 8 - 12 months and you cant replace them if you cant remove the top rubber/insert.
The shaker mounts can be bought from wwag for about 20 clams for set of 8.

I thought they were the ones you were using. IIRC, that was the reason I bought them after seeing yours when you mounted them. Life(school and work) got in the way and I forgot I stuck them away.
The way I'm doing it is pretty straight forward. Weld a side plate on the boards, fab a new forward mount that fits the Legends forwards, cut the mounting point off a set of cheap HD pegs and weld it to the side plate for the mid control footpeg location. The forward mount is held on with a 3/8-16 bolt and nyloc nut, the rear with stock HD hardware.

Have them hanging in the workshop right now waiting for the paint to dry. Overall I'm happy with them. Got them test fit this afternoon and took them out for a cruise to see if I needed to change anything and they are as if they were custom fit for me and the bike.

A couple of pictures I took before I removed them to clean them up and paint.
