Would like to place a set of pegs on the mid control frame mounting point. I have reduced reach forward controls on my 2013 street bob.
Where can I get the clevis mount for right and left. What pegs or mini floor would you suggest. Can I use a passenger mount?
Any other ideas for the mounting points.
Thanks,
Roger
Do you still have the original mid peg mounts off the SB? and do you have the stock headers still on the bike, if not, make sure the peg mounts will clear your exhaust, before you start spending any money. There must be hundreds of mid mount peg sets in garages as take offs. The pillion pegs will fit straight on. Don't put anything too big and wide on as you may have clearance issues with your feet. Another option is to put heel rests on the forwards. I have them along with the reduced reach forwards and find the combo good, but each to his own....
Beagle,
Thanks for the reply.
I do have heal rests, but need something about 2 inches back from the rear of the heal rest..
Something that just sticks abut 3 inches from the frame. I got two left side mounts from ebay and can reverse mount to the right. Now to find the correct peg or extension.
Have any ideas?
Thanks,
Roger
Another option is floorboards, similar to the switchback or a set of defender boards from earlier dynas as used on police etc bikes. The defender brackets sit above the header and the switchback sit below the header so the height of each brand of board is about 3/4" different. I find the boards good for long trips, but the forwards are great around town. If you have stock pegs on the forwards now, just put matching stock pegs on the mid mount brackets . That way they don't stand out as different. I managed to pick up all my options as used, so it hasn't cost a lot to have them. I can probably email you photos of the boards on my dyna if needed, just send me a pm with a private email address. I'm in Australia so I don't know where to source some of this stuff in USA. regards,
