My wife won't ride without it now. We have taken a fair amount of trips with it. I got the detachable sideplates so I can take it off when I'm solo, works great and I can switch it up quickly for looks. I would highly recommend.
Thanks guys just picked up a stock wide glide sissy bar with pad today for a great price! It's notched slightly for the wires to slide through I'm debating if I should make it bigger any experience with this?
Picked up the sissy bar for $50 with the pillion, wasn't sure it would fit my street bob but luck was on my side! Only minor set back I had was putting the darn bolts back on, decided to remove lower shock bolts not realizing the whole rear end will drop (big uh oh) the McGiver in me then brought out my low profile car jack and jacked up the tranny side to raise the rear a bit then quickly inserted all 4 bolts( 2 shock bolt 2 signal bolt)... All in all install went smoothly, had I known it was gonna be a PITA to mount the bolts back I probably could have installed the sissy bar in 30 min or less but it's a learning experience! It's late and bad lightin in the garage but here are some pics
