HD security system question??
My 2011 Wide Glide has the factory security system installed (no siren). Never had any issues. If I move the bike or try to start it without the key fob in my pocket, the lights flash and it won't start. Normal operation. Now for some reason I can start the bike or move it without the key fob on me. Why???

Hmm that is odd, do you by chance have the extended warranty? I know I never do. But hopefully it's a simple fix. Maybe a bad connection to the unit, and if that's it seems too easy to just disconnect and ride off with it.

The red security light flashes so I know it's armed. I changed the code and still the same. I just checked it again. Moving the bike around Without the fob on me, the red speedo light stays on and the signals flash but only for 3-4 seconds then the bike starts. Something isn't right. Is the module failing?

I remember reading something about putting it in valet mode for transporting it or when leaving it at the dealer for service.
Worth looking into.
