Default 2014 LR Seat Bolster and Bars

Im 5'7" 160 pounds. With the seat bolster Im pretty comfortable but thinking of removing it and playing around with the adjustable bars.

Has anyone my size compared the two positions?

Without bolster is there any issue with rear brake being somewhat difficult having to press straight down?

myself also 5'7", 170lb ran mine without the seat bolster, was ok, however just installed a sundowner last week, much more comfort for both rider and passenger. stock seat felt like ironing board after 1hr.

I had the dealer remove the bolster when I picked up the bike. Rode the bike for a couple days then adjusted the bars to my liking. I'm 5'7 and I have no issue with the brake pedal. I came from a 97 fxd that had forward controls and eventually I'll put forward controls on this one too.

am 5'8" removed the bolster seat than replaced the seat. Also went with forward controls. Also adjusted the bars for now. Will replace them later.

Without the bolster do you feel lower or same? Is bolster only pushing you forward or up a tad bit also?
