I think the BBQ paint will work great I can touch up scratches easy.
RB,
THat is the Ray Price by Samson, correct? I do believe that is the finest looking 2 into 1 designed for HD. Do you like the performance and quality? Sounds like you had a little trouble with customer service regarding the heat shield fininsh.
I really like your battery cover strap and seat what type are they, is the seat comfortable?
Seat is a SE Dyna seat, it is comfortable to me; most think it is too hard.
The way I look at it is kinda like a cowboys first day on the job, after that first week your azz is sore but you keep ridin and a month later you don't even notice how hard the saddle is.

Yes it is, and I really like its performance, sound (nice and deep), style. The only thing has been the powder coat, one of the things I was told was that Samson was still in the process of deciding on the right powder coat and the front shield was kind of a flat charcoal and didn't match the rest of the shields which were a gloss black. I was thinking that if they didn't have the color right maybe they still haven't found the best heat resistant coating yet.
At some point I am going to lose the shield and get it ceramic coated of black chrome. I called around Austin and was told there is not enough of a market to keep a vat hot, and I didn't want to ask how much to heat one up would cost.
