Vance and Hines Straight Shots

Is anybody running these and if so what do you think of them? Since I went to the SE Big breather and SE Race tuner the Khromewerks kind of lost their pizzazz. I think the deal breaker was when my buddy who runs V & H pipes talked about how quiet my bike was. J & P has them on sale right now. Thinking about buying them.

You will lose some performance, and they sound kind of tinny. They are loud. Or should I say, "They are not the best performance wise."

Just a heads up. Fuel Moto were the lowest price I could find.

Thanks, not sure the Khromeworks are better performers but they get it done fine. They are quieter than I expected. I even removed the baffles and took out the glass packing. I might just wait and buy a set of Bassanis.

Sadly, Bassani doesn't make slip ons for the 2013 FXDC. I was looking for a set when I settled on Rush slip ons with 2" baffle.

How do you like the Rush? My buddy rides the same bike and we ride together a lot. He has the V & H and even though mine seems to perform just as well I think he has the edge. I do like the way the V and H sound a lot better than the Khromewerks. Bassani does make pipes that fit the FXDC too http://www.jpcycles.com/product/443-731

Like mine alot. Was on a switchback with a full set of Samsons yesterday and liked my slip ons more.

I would watch Craigslist and the classifieds here and get a used set if I was to do it over again. They pop up all the time.
