I have the opportunity to purchase a 2013 stock fXDC black. Purchase price 10,500. It has 236 mikes on it. Very clean. Is this a great deal? I will have to pay 7.5 percent sales tax on top.

sounds good to me, I have one in ember red sunglow with 2500 miles and i want the same price.
If you like it, buy it. Sounds like a good deal to me. It is a new bike. I paid 10k for an 09 fxdc three years ago with 700 miles on it and have no regrets. I now have over 18k in the bike and 17000 miles on it . Finally have it like I wanted, new paint, fmoto 107 and a lot of chrome.
If it is at a car dealership then you can get a great deal on it. A car dealership won't take it in on trade unless they get a buy bid from the harley dealership and won't take it in on trade unless they can bring it in for that price. Anything they get over that is just gravy for them. They really don't want the bike sitting there too long because someone is going to drop it. (I've seen it happen)
I'ld offer 9500 and see where it goes...either way you are going to get a smokin deal on a great bike...don't let them see the smile until after the deal is done
Sounds like a very good buy to me, and at $9,500 or $10K an excellent buy.
I paid about $10,500 for my bone stock 09 with 700 miles a little over a year ago!
However, I traded in a 07 Honda VTX 1300 so the trade allowance and purchase price numbers kind of washed into each other..bottom line was $5,000 difference.
