new derby cover pic
ok, its no big deal but I got it on sale for $29 closeout, normally $120, so I'm excited about that!
also, just told i need my license plate flipped for cosmetic reasons. I may go ahead and do it, its the one thing I held off on because it's legal right now.
Looking for suggestions on a high quality vertical bracket. Don't want/need brake or license plate light with it.

Lookin good! I cant wait to get the polished eye sore off my primary.
As far as a good verticle mount, check out figure machine. They give you the option to run horizontal, or verticle, and a coulpe different bracket lenghts. I got the one with the led plate light, and slammed bracket. The fit and finish is killer! Its kinda pricey, but worth every penny in my opinion!

Just flip the outter plastic plate on your license plate holder so it's on the bottom and add a washer or two between the plates in the little slot, bolt it back together with the factory bolt. And slap your plate back on.

As far as the license plate goes, when I bought the bike I got the detachable backrest which means I had to buy a blinker relocation kit, which meant I had to get a license relocation kit. Harley got me for a few hundred bucks that day ! But it was stuff I thought I needed.
So the plate bracket I am running now is the metal one that attaches to the swingarm. Really nice bracket, high quality. But its horizontal and there's no way to make it vertical.
What I can't seem to find is the vertical one, radius bent, with a frame around the license, no light. I can find all kinds with lights. I'll look at the figuremachine one.

Is it made from elephant tusks and gold ? I just don't get the prices sometimes. It is a very nice one but that price is silly.
May just get a DK customs one and be done with it.
