Default "De-tuning" the 103ci

I've been tossing around the idea of de-tuning my 2012 Fat Bob.
When I bought it last spring, it was already set up with an RSD Turbine intake, V&H 2:2 Big Radius exhaust and a dyno tune. The bike has great power but all it wants to do is go, to the point its difficult to drive slow.
I'd like less noise, less heat and smoother low end.
Thoughts?
I know between the seat saga and now this ....yes, I did test drive a Road Glide today, yes it is what I want out of an MC, no I can't afford it.
I'm going to keep working this Dyna until its exactly like I want it.

If anyone is interested in a trade for more sedate parts, these have less than 5k on them. Contact me.

you need to find a way to get a road glide. you will NOT be happy until you do. best of luck either way...

Going back to stock pipes will give you less noise and maybe smooth out the low end, but probably not less heat. If you don't have them any more, I'm sure it wouldn't be very hard to find someone to trade you pipes.

heck if you werent on the other side of the country i'd go craigslist some stock pipes to trade ya.

but pipes and air cleaner shouldnt make that huge of a difference in control-ability.

I've got a stock intake and exhaust off of a fat Bob with your choice of stock or cycle shack mufflers lol. But I don't think it'll be that much difference in how it acts. Possibly in the the tune but I'm no expert.

One of the most useful mods I did was put my stick exhaust back on. My commute is 60 miles and it just wasn't comfortable. I also picked up better low end response.

The stock exhaust has a cat in it so you will run hotter if anything. The tune is giving more fuel so that aids in cooling as well (lean is hot!)
I don't have a problem with smooth low end on my 'Bob so I don't know what you could do. If the tune was setup for max power at the peak of the rev range it might be sacrificing bottom end grunt.
Do your pipes have baffles? If not you can get some that are more restricting to give the bottom a bit more grunt.
It takes a lot of work to get it perfect, but it sounds like it's your only option if your "ideal" bike is out of your price range

I still have a pretty high level of frustration from the over the painful ride on the Tripper last weekend......So much so that I did take my Bob to the dealer yesterday and talked trade on 2013 Road Glide...Let's just say I'm not taking that kind of a hit.
I calmed myself down and slept on this and realized what a great bike I have. There's only ~2 1/2mo. left in the riding season, I'm going to enjoy it, not worry over BS like this engine tune... Tomorrow the Mustang Wide Vintage will be here(which should take care of the comfort issue). I found a shop in the area that does great work, for next year I will talk with them about changing the A\C, baffling the pipes and tuning more to my likes.
