The build is a 98 Fatboy,
I was able to get my latest build upstate to tune it on the Dyno.
96" Evo. Hillside stage III heads
Woods Exp cam
S&S 4 5/8 crank
Axtell 30* 3.645" angle tops
RB Lsr pipe
Dyna 2ki
The gold is the base run. With some tuning we were able to get it up a little but it turns out the pipe is holding it back in the bottom end. Swapped out the pipe to an old E pipe and we picked up quite a bit. The black line is where we finished 111tq/ 107.5hp... The drop off at 5100 rpm is the experimental Cam I had ground. Works great on bottom and carries a nice flat top but falls off at the top... We finished with "ok the cam is coming out and will be replaced as well as the pipes. Going with a Supertrapp.... Will have to adjust the combustion chamber to match the new Cam. It will be completed by the end of the month. At that point I will post an update.....
Picked up my bike Thursday and am very happy with the results. I was expecting a little more but then again I always am.... Just did a round-trip to Rhinebeck 250 miles and the bike pulls the hills on RT 28 through the Catskills no problem in 6th gear. I changed my gear ratio to a 3.20:1 and still have to refill the tank to get a good idea on mpg. I think I'm right around 40 mpg. Bike is very responsive and quick. Here's the Dyno sheet.... Still have a little problem above 5k. Scott and I believe it to be a problem with the carb... Everything else has been ruled out.. So I might be going to a G carb.. Possibly will be doing some more tuning on the Dyno. Scott has a G setup he wants to try before I spend... So more to come.. I still believe there is more in this build but won't know till testing.... Till then I pleased and am enjoying the ride... I have not got on it to hard from the hole yet so I can't say how it pulls for 1st, 2nd and third at wide open throttle...
115tq/109hp... Feels like it too...

looks good and has to be fun to ride ...!!!...if i may suggest ...drop the air jet down a few , bringing in the fuel (main jet) a little earlier , may help with the dip...then add it back with the thunder jet on the top ...otherwise ....bet it a blast to ride !!
Thanx, it really is a lot of fun... This spring it'll be going back up to Scott for a G carb. And a comparison of the W8 cam and my experimental cam.... Can't wait but I have no choice at this point...
I'm sure your 98"er is right up there. He does do very good work... I was once disappointed with a build I had him do but I think it was more in my head and not in the work... I was expecting 100/100 out of an 83" Evo build and it fell short by the on each. I ended up putting myself through hell and back trying to find that 3 hp/tq. Ended up shearing my crank pin, so at that point I decided, new crank? Ok a stroker and never looked back. Still making a few mods to it but it will definitely be completed this spring..
I'd like to see the afr trace just for giggles,,,,the G with the Tjet can do a lot,,,96 inch is the boarder for the e and g,,,,curious if it loses any on the bottom and what i gets up top,,,but would like to see the afr on the runs and your altitude.

Not sure if Scott has a sniffer. Never seen him use one... But I'll ask.... I will be a doing a before and after dyno run to see the actual difference between the E n G carbs...
This last couple of months I was able to repair my heads (unknown how the valves bent) So at this time I was also able to replace the S&S E with a G. Both have ThunderJets. I also took out my experimental cam that was used in the last tune/dyno sheet that came in nice with 114/109, with a W8. I always thought that the carb (the E) was holding me back at around 5k. turned out not to be true. I'pretty much where I was with a slight shift to the right with the W8. I was expecting more but I guess not... Little disappointed, went down one in the tq and up 1.5 in the hp... but whatcha gonna do... Still A good runner for a 96" Evo.... And now the end... This will be it for this motor... Time to Enjoy.....

Did a turn around up to Munnsville to pick up my bike.. Got home around 4:30 but didn't get to ride it because of rain rain rain.... Bummer.... So hopefully I'll get it out tomorrow to get a good feel of that torque....
Glad I was able to chat with Scott in person. Wish I could have stayed up there a little longer... Thanks Scott....
