Default Wiring issue

Just extended the wiring in my '05 RK Classic and tested it out just now:

I attached the handle bar loosely to the bike and tested the controls. Immediately when I turn on the ignition the left turn signal comes on and the left turn signal button seems to not have any control. Once I press the right turn signal buttons, both turn signals come on and after a few times just the right turn signals comes on and off as it should. All other functions appear to work as far as I could test right now.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

Uh...ya screwed up the turn signal wiring?

Need more information on how you extended the wiring. Without that info start by rechecking your work.

Mmmmmhhhh, well I got a wire extension kit. Took the headlight/nacelle apart to access everything, disconnected the right and left housing wires, took the handlebar off, wrote down the color codes and order of existing wires, disconnected them at the Deutsch connectors, added the extensions, shrink tubed them, reconnected them, assembled new housings, switches, pulled wires internally through the handle bar, reconnected to Deutsch connectors. I did recheck the color codes and couldn't find any issues.
I thought that was the only way to do this?

I took the handlebar back off this morning and double checked the wire colors in the connectors on the handlebar vs the connectors inside the nacelle and everything is in the right order. I guess that means I must have screwed up when I connected the extension to the existing wiring. Before I undo everything: Is there another area that could be the trouble maker?

Might have caught a burr in the handle bar. Use an ohm meter. Put on lead on the bar, and then touch one end of each wire. If you get continuity, you got a short to the bar,

Can't figure it out. All other controls work as they should.
Any ideas/suggestions?
