'99 WG, When I turn the Acc on, the speedometer needle doesn't run up and down and the odometer reads "d01CLr". Pressing the trip switch does nothing.
When I crank the engine the odometer doesn't change to mileage. When I throttle up in neutral, nothing changes but when I throttle up in gear the speedometer needle stays at 0, the odometer goes blank and my check engine light stays on. When I let off the throttle, pull the clutch, and hit the brakes, the speedometer and odometer go back to normal function except the check engine light stays on. When I throttle up, it shuts off again.
I cleaned the speed sensor on the transmission and that didn't fix it. I just replaced the speedometer and that didn't fix it. My next step is to replace the speed sensor and if that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. I need some help.
