On my 2015 FLHR, I have the cruise option, but there are 3 round "blanks" where the stereo controls would be on a fairing equipped bike. Does anyone know if there are any kits for using these blanks for other purposes, or if there is a button that will fit right in there?
Not sure if you have room behind the blank or if you can remove blank with a type of pick but a possible stash for tic-tacs or if big enough...maybe a .50cal smg? Look at other bikes that have them in use and if you don't need or want what they have...adapt to what will work for ya..works for me. Just like when is search my shop stock parts and there is nothing in the box ...well, it's time to start thinking outside the box. Hence, custom is Born....(que in Horns from the Heavens). I would need pictures if were to give you better direction. Trust me, when my wife says she needs a certain something for her bike and I know it's not on the market....I make it.

I want to use them as buttons to do other things. In the below pic, its the blank circle to the left of the cruise control. I didn't know if anyone either had used the spots for other switches/buttons or if someone was making a kit to do so.
I suppose a button for aux. lighting (LEDs, extra fog lights). Harley makes an "ON-OFF" button in the style of the momentary button used for cycling the odometer functions. On my '09 Fatty, it comes stock with 1.25" bars that the add-on accessory switch housings will not fit.
In other words, you gave me the solution to my problem. I can utilize the housing that you have for a couple of switches, saves me from getting too "Franken-Harley and keep it looking svelt.

The right hand housing has two blanks down there on my RK. I picked up a 15mm momentary switch for an unrelated project, but visually seems like it may fit there, I'll have to walk it out the bike and look.
I am honestly kind of surprised there isn't a kit already made that pops right in and gives you some bare wires to do whatever you want with them.
And for your project, P/N 71500250 is a set of back-lit ones which match the ones that come on the CVO models.
