Default Disassembling Headlight??

Has anyone pulled their factory headlight apart? I am wanting to remove the glass lens and do some painting on the inside, not on the actual reflector surface but around the edges as well as the plastic bulb cover. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

BTW - I have already tried heating the headlight at 275 for 7 min and it doesn't even budge...

Oh yeah, my bike is a 2014 street glide

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. I suggest you take a look at this on-line website, where you can look at the parts that make up your fairing and headlight. The chrome trim ring has a small screw underneath, and once the ring is off you can gain access to the reflector. I can't see any benefit that applying heat will give!

The lens and reflector are most likely sealed together. This is to prevent moisture from getting into the headlight and causing light blocking condensation. If you break that seal you might have that issue in the future.
