Ultra Issues

I have a 2010 ultra and when the ignition switch is turned to the on position the the bike starts (no starter switch required) - to add to this, with the bike running you can hear the starter engaging. Any ideas where to start trouble shooting this one?

Sounds like you probably have a start button issue in your right hand control, try turning off the eng run switch on the right hand control.

What he said - sounds like the switch is stuck..

Just curious -what does it do if the FOB is not near????

Try switching your starter relay with another relay.

Relay or a switch, have the bars been changed?

To answer Tshelf's question - It wont run with out the fob near it - good, I cant produce the same problem when the start run switch is in the off position - good. Bars have not been changed yet however, I have them in the shop..

Ok, now as Harleycruiser pointed out try another starter relay (it failed internally) Id bet thats it. But if not there is a short in the starter button in the switch housing. But Id start with the relay first, easier to get to and test.
