Hi I am Renegade and I have been riding HD since 69, I ride 2008 harley-davidson flht after some shoulder surgery I am no longer able to ride my softail with 20” apes.
I’m cruising my 2008 flht electra glide standard, it is running fine till I reach the speed of 70mph, the tach quits, the speedometer drops to 0, the red security key indictor comes on, battery light comes on (volt meter stays at 14), the chk eng light come on, and the odometer reads “bus er”.
Now when I throttle back under 70, everything works right. I throttle back to 70 and it does the same thing.
Any help would be appreciative. I miss my stroked shovel.

It's a electrical connection, probably the 12 pin connector at the speedometer head. Of course, just guessing. Could be your guardian angel telling you to slow down. Harley's are not much fun at 70. Ha, but of course you want them right.
