Default Fuse box corrosion

Riding home yesterday my bike (2008 FLHTC) lost power while riding down Interstate 81 in Va. Checked battery connection then started checking fuses. Every fuse I pulled had corrosion on it. Turned out to be the ignition fuse. Luckily I had a spare.
How do I clean the corrosion out of the fuse box?

Disconnect the battery. You can try some type of lubricant (start with WD40), and mild abrasive. Once all of the corrosion is removed you will have to figure out what went wrong with the seal, and fix that.
