2018 fxlr tail light
my flxr tail light didn't work right out of the gate. (didn't notice it until first time riding at night) pulled lens / cover and jiggled wiring and it came on, but wouldn't stay on. purchased new pigtail wiring thing for it, which they wouldn't give me under warranty unless I let them install it, which I didn't feel like making appointment, dropping off bike, etc. so I just bought it. got home and plugged it in and it did not work either! wiggled it and nothing. put old one back in and wiggled it and it worked again. so I cut plastic sheathing off wiring so I could twist the wires. gave the wires one full turn, which resulted in putting a little tension on them and plugged back in and screwed lens/cover back on and it has worked ever since. I think all the pigtail wiring harnesses for fxlr may be defective. whatever other bikes use the same pigtail too. anyone else finding bad tail lights?
