Default 1992 883 Hugger - wiring issue with turn signals.

1992 883 Hugger - wiring issue with turn signals. I don't have a manual and my bike was made customer so the cancelling signals were altered. I have intermittent issue with turns not working and my emergency flashers dont work either. One day the right works then the left doesn't and vice versa.. we took the headlight assembly apart last night got the turns to work, then put the headlight back in and they didn't work, there is something loose or not making a good connection but I dont have a manual to look at schematic. Any help is appreciated.

This should be the wiring diagram for your 883 (as stock)?

So the guy that looked at my bike says I need the canceling module replaced. However, I tried to explain that this was disabled years ago 25 to be exact and they don't cancel on their own anymore because of it, but my turns have worked every day up until now and it's only an intermittent problem. so is it a loose wire or the module? also, are they any flasher relay, modules under the seat? I cant find this anywhere in the parts manual, yet he keeps talking about a flasher? trying to not lose my patience. lol

On that bike the turn signal module would be located behind the mid guard on the fore side of the back fender. The cancellation is just a signal wire from the speedo to the turn signal module.

You have an altered turn signal system, there is no way we can troubleshoot this for you unless you draw us an accurate wiring diagram...

Without studying the wiring diagram, your troubleshooting is pure guesswork...

There is no such thing as a flasher relay on that bike.

The turn signal canceller module does more than cancel the turn signals (a feature which can be disabled), it also turns them on when it gets the signal from the handlebar switch.
