Default New wiring harness tips

been looking for a new to me frame for my 84, looks like I知 getting there. Going to need all the wires.
Whats a good starting point for wiring a bike from scratch? I doubt anyone sells exactly what I知 looking for.

When wiring from scratch keep maintenance in mind, how many disconnects do you want and where do you want to have them. Do you have the factory wire diagrams, if so use them as a reference, You don't necessarily have to use stock connectors for the wires just the ends where they plug into the boxes.

That was my take on creating a wiring loom as well. Don't be tempted to use lots of soldering and butt connectors. Get proper connectors and a crimping tool.

I don稚 much see the need for the electronic box, the wire color variety would be nice and I see the need for connectors.

An alternative system is the Motogadget m-unit. A pal of mine rewired his Ultra using one. It incorporates flasher for the indicators and a whole lot more, simplifying the wiring greatly. You can download the manual from their website.
