Default 2011 Electra glide hyper flash

What is the best load equalizer or stabilizer to use. Either hard wire or plug and play. Just don’t want the heat from resistors

Custom Dynamics are reportedly good.

I just ran into needing some type of load balancing having added turn signal LED bulbs front and back on my 2013. Used the resistors myself and mounted them back to back on each other. I rarely use in emergency mode so they act as heat sinks to each other and barely feel much heat after couple minutes running, normal stop light time. Did keep away from plastics. Time will tell but did solve my hyper flash and throwing codes. $5 dollar fix.

How many resistors did you use? is it one for each led light or did you just use one for each side?

I used 2 at the rear light connections under the seat, one for each side. I had to use a meter to determine which wire was which. For my 13 EGC there was 6 wires one of which was a shared ground for all the lights. This cable came from the interconnect board under the tail light where all plug in. These resistors are wired from hot side of light to ground.

I I’m gonna try this do you happen to remember the color of the wires? And thank you for your answers

Mine were Violet/Brown for my 2013 but I would not commit to that for your 2011. The ground wire was black and a larger gauge than all other wires. If you have an DVM I would test continuity of the plug under the seat to the lights. My manual was not helpful determining the color or at least not obvious to me.

Violet and brown are the common stock Harley turn signal wire colors with black being ground.

Our Signal Stabilizer is designed to solve that issue, and will recycle 90% of the load that it draws back to the battery, meaning that it won't heat up and melt things. Load equalizers (resistors) will also work, but because the load they draw is converted directly to heat, you will likely have issues if you run your 4-way hazards for any extended period of time (like in a parade, or on the side of the road).

The other big advantage is that our units are plug-and-play, and one unit will cover the front and rear signals.
